Partnerships with pathway institutions
Deakin College’s Diploma courses in Commerce and Management offers pathways into a range of Faculty of Business and Law undergraduate courses.
The College's Postgraduate Qualifying Program in Business and Law also helps international students get the qualifications they need to begin faculty postgraduate programs.
The Gordon TAFE
We have various opportunities with The Gordon for students to transfer between the institutions in study areas such as:
- business management
- human resources
We also offer a dual course in sustainable tourism management, taught at both institutions in Geelong.
Chisholm Institute of TAFE
We offer an Associate Degree in arts, business and science as a two year, full-time (or part-time equivalent) course at Chisholm’s Dandenong and Mornington Peninsula campuses.
Students who graduate from Chisholm’s courses in accounting, management, marketing, frontline management, human resources management or international business may then be able to start Deakin’s Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Management, with credit for up to 12 subjects.
We also offer pathways for students who’d like to begin postgraduate study in business administration or commerce.
We offer the Associate Degree in Arts, Business and Science at Advance’s Bairnsdale Campus. We also offer pathways from Advance’s course in accounting, business or business administration into Deakin’s Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Management.
There are lots of opportunities to transfer on to Deakin’s undergraduate programs from Holmesglen courses in:
- legal practice
- public relations
- human resources
- business administration
- financial services.
South West TAFE
Students currently completing a South West course in accounting, business, management, hospitality, tourism or events management may be eligible for entry in the second year of Deakin’s Bachelor of Management.
Deakin and South West also offer an Associate Degree in Arts, Business and Science with a Diploma of Accounting.
Sunraysia Institute of Technical and Further Education (SuniTAFE)
We offer the Associate Degree in Arts, Business and Science at SuniTAFE’s Swan Hill Campus.
Domestic and international students can also go from studying one of SuniTAFE’s courses to enrolling in Deakin’s Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Management or Bachelor of Business Information Systems.
