- About Deakin
The technological advances over recent years combined with the mass adoption of social media and digital tools have made information central to all aspects of work and life. Our teaching and research programs span the disciplines of Information Systems and Business Analytics to explore and examine the role and use of information by organisations to improve their strategic and operational performance as well as how society can better utilise information networks and technologies to enhance the quality of life and advance community aspirations.
We offer coursework based academic programs in Information Systems and Business Analytics at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as higher degree by research programs aligned to our five research groups.
Our School has a vibrant industry partnership program. Our industry partners are actively engaged with the School to ensure our academic programs are current and relevant, have a practice focus and develop work-ready graduates. Our Industry Advisory Board consists of major employers of Information Systems and Business Analytics graduates and our Business Analytics course partners play a key role in the design and delivery of our Business Analytics program.
