Master of Business Analytics launch and information eveningDeakin is launching Australia's first full coursework master's degree in Business Analytics. Commencing in July 2013, the course will be offered at Deakin's Melbourne Burwood Campus, and off campus. There is also an option to undertake a Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics or a specialisation in Business Analytics within the MBA, the Master of Commerce or the Master of Information Systems.
Deakin's business analytics program has been developed in partnership with industry and hence has a strong practice focus. The course introduces students to a range of internationally recognised business intelligence and analytics tools including IBM Cognos, SAS Enterprise Miner and Microsoft Analytics Tools. Business Analytics professionals from IBM, SAS, Microsoft, Ernst & Young, Deloitte and PwC will teach into the program.
The masters' degree is designed for those who have a bachelor's degree and a minimum 3 years of business experience. The course aims to develop a broad set of skills including business analysis, information management, business intelligence, business value of analytics as well as descriptive, predictive and decision analytics.
