The School of IS has researchers and educators with expertise in such information systems areas as electronic business, requirements engineering and business quantitative analysis. The wide range of expertise across the School enables us to offer highly competitive specialist courses in information systems and electronic business, as well as majors and electives across the various commerce, international business and IT specialisations at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
The School also considers the Honours, research Masters and PhD students to be important members of our close-knit community of information systems researchers. All efforts are therefore made to ensure that research students are included in seminars, research groups and other relevant School activities to foster the collaborative research environment of the School.
The School is fortunate in that it has attracted one of Australia's largest concentrations of eCommerce researchers and experts, many of whom have PhDs in the area. It is this expertise which has made the School an attractive place to seek postgraduate research supervision, and enabled the School to offer its highly successful postgraduate eCommerce courses. Members are also highly sought after for consultancies to government departments and industry associations for eCommerce related projects.
