Supply Chain Management

What is it?


Supply chain management (SCM) relates to the management of the flow of materials, information, and finances as they move in a process from supplier to manufacturer to wholesaler to retailer to end-consumer. It involves coordinating and integrating these activities within and among companies effectively and efficiently.

 

Why study Supply Chain Management?


The increasing worldwide competition of business have forced companies to adopt state-of-the-art, effective global supply chain management (SCM) approaches.
