This new course which commenced in 2006 develops the skills, knowledge and understanding required to design and manage accounting information systems in the sophisticated information systems environment of contemporary business. The course positions graduates with a specialist, distinctive qualification which meets the specific requirements of business and government in a crucial area of opportunity.
The MAIS is an eight credit point course consisting of two compulsory units; three Accounting and Finance units; and three Information Systems units, which can be completed in one year of full time study.
Admission requirements: a four year undergraduate degree or equivalent in a related discipline, or a three year undergraduate degree or equivalent in a related discipline and two years relevant professional or managerial experience in a commercial or information systems environment.
