Credit for Prior Learning

Applicants into the Bachelor of Laws, Course Code M312, without a previous undergraduate degree, but who have three years work experience in the following areas may be eligible for 8 credit points of unspecified credit OR 1 specified credit point for MLL351 Law Clinic plus 7 credit points of unspecified credit.

NB: Applications for credit into MLL351 Law Clinic will not be accepted once a student is enrolled in the unit.

Verifiable evidence must be provided. Please ensure that you provide evidence for all skills in which you are claiming proficiency.

Verifiable evidence may include employer references and job specifications, statements from clients, copies of prepared courses and seminars, evidence of training programmes attended, copies of other documented work tasks. Where copies are provided they must be certified as a true copy. References etc must provide a contact phone number for the person providing the reference. Applicants who claim competency in an area as a result of prior work experience at an employer with whom they no longer have contact may include a statement of achievements and validate this with a personal statutory declaration.

the completed University Advanced Standing Application Form (ie complete and return both forms).
