Unit outline
MLL351 Law Clinic is offered in Trimester 1, 2 and 3 and is worth 1 credit point.
Student quota applies – applications must be sent to the LLB Program Coordinator only.  Please carefully read all of the information provided below to gain a full understanding of this unit. 
The unit is only offered to Bachelor of Laws students. MLL351 Law Clinic counts for 12 days towards the professional work experience component of the course. For more unit information please visit the Handbook.  

This is a Work Experience in Industry (WEI) unit. Online teaching methods require internet access. Please refer to the most current computer specifications IT support computer standards.

Induction Day
If you are offered a Law Clinic placement you will be required to attend a one day compulsory Induction Day conducted by the Unit Chair prior to you commencing Law Clinic. The purpose of the Induction Day is to go through some of the issues you may face whilst on placement such as duty of confidentiality, interviewing diverse clients, working with interpreters, how to write file notes, how to draft letters etc.

Application
Applications are open for Trimester 2 and 3, 2012.  To apply complete the Application form [68KB PDF] and return to the LLB Coordinator no later than Friday 8 June 2012. Please indicate in your application if you would accept a place in Trimester 2 or Trimester 3, 2012.

Please note: Quota applies. Enrolment by application to the LLB Program Coordinator only. Under no circumstances are students to approach employers directly regarding Law Clinic. Students may only apply using the above outlined process. Questions should be emailed to LLB Program Coordinator.
