Honours program
Research-based Honours - Pre 2002 enrolments (Program One)
This Research-based Honours Award and is only available to students who commenced their LLB pre 2002. Students must apply for entry into MLL401 Legal Project, which is worth 2 credit points, in addition to the 24 LLB units.
Eligibility
Students must meet the following criteria to be eligible to make an application for the Research-based Honours Program - Pre 2002 enrolments (Program One).
- Have commenced their LLB pre 2002
- Have successfully completed at least 16 LLB units
- Have attained an average of at least 60% in these LLB units.

Structure
Students must complete the unit MLL401 Legal Project in addition to the units required for the completion of their LLB degree. Legal Project does not replace an elective unit within the pre 2002 model degree structure.
Requirements
In order for students to meet the requirements for Honours Program One they must have:
- Successfully completed all of the requirements of their Bachelor of Laws degree including Professional Experience and PLS tasks.
- Successfully completed MLL401 Legal Project in addition to their 24 LLB units.
- Maintained an average of 60% and above across all of their LLB units including MLL401 Legal Project, which is worth two credit points and is therefore counted twice when calculating the LLB average.
- Achieved an Honours mark of H1, H2A or H2B. Students can check the Final Honouers Grade table. Remember only final grades (across all LLB units) of 60% and above equate to Honours.
