Academic Awards

Each year the School of Law presents Academic Awards to acknowledge high achieving students. Winners are notified by mail in March and the Awards are presented at a function held in April. These awards are for the previous year of study.
Students are eligible for Academic Awards in the following units of study:
- Supreme Court Prize
for the top student completing the Deakin University Bachelor of Laws degree in the previous year.
- Alan Missen Foundation Prize
for the best student essay in Law, Society and Civil Rights.
- Arnold Bloch Leibler Prize
for the best Deakin University law student in Taxation.
- Australian Institute of Administrative Law Prize
for the best student essay in Administrative Law.
- Blake Dawson Prize
for the best student in Contract.
- Clayton Utz Prize
for the best student in Property.
for the best student in Torts.
- Coulter Roache Prize
for the best student in Business Organisations.
for the best student in Workplace Law.
- Davies Collison Cave Solicitors Prize
for the best student in Intellectual Property.
- Geelong Law Association Prize
for the best student in Constitutional Law.
- Harwood Andrews Prize
for the best student in Commercial Law.
