There is a saying that 'after the Moot is before the Moot' and once again this is true - the process of preparing for the 2012 / 2013 competition has begun. This will be particularly significant as it will be the competition's 20th year in Vienna and 10th year in Hong Kong. The School of Law will once again seek a group of talented, ambitious and hard working students to participate for Deakin University.
The Vis Moot is a lot of hard work - it requires a full time commitment from shortly after Trimester 2 exams right through to the oral rounds which are held just before Easter. However, there are a number of reasons to get involved.
It is a great chance to sharpen your legal research, written advocacy, oral advocacy and teamwork skills, a great chance to work closely with a small team of dedicated students, and a great chance to connect with many Deakin Vis Moot alumni through our extensive practice moot program, all while earning subject credit.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2012-2013 Vis Moot Team.
