According to the site: 'LawSearch Online provides fast and simple access to Commonwealth legislation. It takes a whole-of-government approach providing details about Commonwealth Bills, Commonwealth Acts and most Commonwealth subordinate legislation.' Also, you can 'browse through a subject area of law for principal Commonwealth Acts in your area of interest or you can narrow the search criteria.' The database is updated daily. 'Each entry for Commonwealth legislative material may contain any of the following items: amendments since the last official reprint; relevant government reports; parliamentary reports about the item; any gazette notices directly relating to the legislation; any subordinate legislation from the Statutory Rules series; any other subordinate legislation released under the Act; Hansard references; associated material about the Bill for example explanatory memoranda; details about the printed legislation ...; details about the passage through parliament of Commonwealth Bills (dates of introduction, and readings); Assent and commencement information for Commonwealth Acts; administrating departments; and extensive linking to the full text of all electronically available documents through Parliament and Attorney-General's Internet sites.'
