Master of Human Resource Management

The Master of Human Resource Management program is designed to provide:

• Specific human resource management skills and knowledge which apply to the common tasks undertaken in the human resources role.
• General business literacy skills that enable human resource practitioners to participate in management teams and project groups on the basis of a good general business understanding, including:
  • How human resource management can contribute to the achievement of an organisation's business strategy and improve performance
  • Change management
  • Employment relations
  • Rights and Responsibilities

These general business skills are further enhanced by the inclusion of a core unit in Business Strategy and Analysis, and three electives from the business disciplines of Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Marketing and Management.

Graduate Diploma of Human Resource Management

The Graduate Diploma of Human Resources provides a qualification for graduates working in Human Resources Management in business, government or industry.

It also meets the needs of senior management with responsibilities in Human Resources Management and Development.

This program is offered for part-time study by distance education so that it can easily fit around work and lifestyle demands. It comprises 8 units (the equivalent of one-year of full-time study).There are some on-campus and residential-unit options.

Professional recognition
The Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate of Human Resource Management are accredited by the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).

Graduate Certificate of Human Resource Management

The Graduate Certificate of Human Resource Management offers a pathway for applicants who have significant relevant work history, but who have not completed a Bachelor's Degree.

This program comprises the first four units of the Graduate Diploma of Human Resources (the equivalent of 0.5 years full-time study). Upon successful completion, students are eligible for entry into the Graduate Diploma.

Master of Business Administration with a HRM specialism

The MBA offers a world renowned leadership qualification. It is designed for mid-level managers who want to extend their knowledge to advance their careers. Students may elect to complete a specialism in Human Resources Management as part of their MBA studies.
