Undergraduate studies in Management

Studies in management are an important component of any business course and the major sequence in Management is a popular option for students in the Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Management.

Students from many other courses can include the major in their studies. Many students from a variety of courses not directly related to business choose to complete the major, or just one or two management units, to prepare themselves for future management roles.

Some of the courses which include studies in management:
  • Bachelor of Commerce
The Bachelor of Commerce is one of the most flexible and broadly based business programs on offer at any Australian university. A common first year provides a grounding in key business disciplines, after which students can choose from 21 professional business majors.
  • Bachelor of Management
The Bachelor of Management is designed to provide contemporary management knowledge and skills to students who need, or aim to work in, a management role.
  • Bachelor of Business (Sport Management)
The Bachelor of Business (Sport Management) provides sport management education within a broadly based business degree, and aims to equip students with the skills required in the sport industry.
  • Bachelor of Management Tourism
This course combines a broad-based management degree with specialist studies in tourism. Studies are undertaken concurrently through Deakin and Box Hill Institute of TAFE (Melbourne) or the Gordon Institute of TAFE (Geelong).
