Student Profile

Jayne Lovelock

Jayne walked away from her Deakin Master's with much more than a postgraduate qualification. As co-winner of the 2010 Ticketmaster Deakin Alumni Award, Jayne received funding to undertake some professional development overseas. She spent a year in Paris working on the marketing and publicity for an Australian Indigenous art gallery, undertaking an internship at the Australian Embassy, and completing a three week course in Creative Arts Management. 'It was pretty amazing,' she says of the experience.

'I had heard a lot about the courses industry connections and it seemed a lot more vocational that some other courses,' she says. 'You got to do [study] subjects with business students, not just arts students. And, working full-time, I knew it was a course I could do online and with support.'
