Deakin's Property and Real Estate courses provide knowledge and skills for a range of professional roles in the property industry. They have been designed in close consultation with employers and industry bodies. Students benefit from close links to the property industry and are kept abreast of the latest changes affecting the property market. We have a commitment to innovation in course design and delivery and we offer an outstanding level of support to students.
Graduates from these courses are highly sought after and may find employment as:
The Bachelor of Property and Real Estate is accredited by the Australian Property Institute and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Graduates may be eligible for registration as a Certified Practising Valuer.
Studying for a Bachelor of Property and Real Estate while working in the field has proved a winning combination for Daniel Scarfo. Daniel comes from a dairy farm near Sale and is living proof that a rural location and a job are no barrier to completing a tertiary course.
During term, he works part-time as an assistant valuer, switching to full-time work during the mid-year and summer breaks. 'I couldn't recommend it highly enough,' he says of his decision to juggle two roles. 'I get to apply what I learn to the workplace straight away, without having to wait until the end of my degree.'
