The 2014 Bowater Social Entrepreneurship Challenge is a student project that focuses on educating, contributing towards social issues and providing students with the opportunity to interact with entrepreneurship practitioners and academics, working in the social issues area.
If you are passionate about social issues like world poverty, human suffering or conservation then you may be interested in getting involved with Deakin's BSEC Challenge.

The Bowater Social Entrepreneurship Challenge is for groups of two students. At least one member of the group must be a Deakin Business student (preferably in their second year). The second student may be undergraduate, postgraduate, from any area or even an undergraduate from another University.
Students will have the opportunity to tackle real Social Entrepreneurship issues, gaining valuable experience alongside practitioners and academics whilst competing for prizes of up to $2000.
Registration is online and is open from 9 January 2014 until 21 March 2014
The Challenge Takes place across 3 phases:
