The Faculty of Business and Law held its annual Easter Egg Hunt for the children of staff, students and alumni on Sunday morning, 17 March, in building LB at the Melbourne Burwood Campus.
With the weather forecast predicting showers we made the decision to move the event indoors so as to not disappoint the children!
'The change of location was a good call and worked out really well. As usual my kids had a ball!' said Professor McDonald.
Approximately 100 children enjoyed a great day out, with a range of activities from face painting, decorating Easter egg baskets, a bouncy castle and an Easter egg hunt. Even the Easter Bunny was not deterred by the rain!
Coffee and hot cross buns were provided to entertain the adults, and a sausage sizzle for all over lunch time.
The children filled the building with laughter and joy as they ran up and down the foyer and bounced on the jumping castle.
One off-campus student commented to the Pro Vice-Chancellor 'Thank you so very much for providing the opportunity for me to come on campus and bring my family, what a great day out!'
The Faculty of Business and Law firmly believes that university life is much more than books and study. There are obvious benefits in social interaction. We want to nurture meaningful relationships on and off campus.
Professor McDonald and her team are already beginning plans for the Family Christmas Day and will continue to hold both the Easter and Christmas family days, no matter what weather presents on the day.
