- About Deakin
From July 2013, the Deakin Graduate School of Business is pleased to offer a 20 per cent tuition fee scholarship to students starting in the Master of Business Administration (International) or MBA(I) combined masters programs, who have a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score of 550 and above, or the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) with a Verbal Reasoning score of 160 and a Quantitative Reasoning score of 140, or greater.
Applicants who qualify with the requisite GMAT or GRE score are advised to include a copy of their result during application. "This merit-based scholarship is our commitment to students who are undertaking the MBA (I) or our related suite of combined programs," said Professor Gael McDonald, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Business and Law.
"Our MBA (International) program is well recognised and rated 5-stars by the Graduate Management Association of Australia."
"We are proud of our practical and real world learning experiences, such as our Workshop for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, study tours, internship programs and more."
"We are absolutely engaged with our students and partners in the provision of flexible educational programs and relevant research."
Associate Head of School for Learning and Programs, Associate Professor Wayne Binney said: "We are constantly on the look-out for the best students around the world to undertake our MBA programs."
"Both the Graduate Management Admission Test and Graduate Record Examinations are international benchmarks when it comes to quality students. They are used by thousands of educational institutions in over 90 countries around the world."
"In addition, we are confident that these top notch students will be able to maintain progress requirements for the scholarship, which is a pass grade or better for the units they are enrolled in."
Students who are successful applicants for this scholarship could see a saving of up to $11,000 in fees if enrolled in an MBA (I) combined program. This scholarship is only available at the Deakin University Melbourne Burwood Campus. Deakin University's main MBA program, which requires relevant work experience for entry, was recently EPAS accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development. EPAS is an international quality benchmark for business programs worldwide. The Deakin MBA is one of only three accredited programs in Australia.
