The School of Information Systems is on the hunt for ambitious high-achieving individuals who want to make a dynamic impact in their chosen career path!

In 2013 Deakin will offer a new suite of Information Systems courses designed to give you the opportunity to complete a cross-disciplinary degree. It allows you to blend Information Systems (IS) with a second discipline, either as a combined degree or as a single degree with a non-IS major sequence. This will give you a broader set of skills and the flexibility, depth of experience and training to build an exciting career across any industry sector you choose.

The new course offering has been designed in close consultation with industry and employers of Information Systems graduates. You'll have many opportunities to get real world, hands-on work experience with industry leaders through our industry placement programs and the course also includes community based volunteering as a core unit of the degree.

By adding just one more year to your single degree, you'll get to up size your qualifications and career opportunities and give yourself the edge in your area of interest - whether it's in health, science, humanities, business, management, commerce or law.

We are living through one of the greatest periods of innovation in history, driven by technology and digital advances. With the massive rise of social media, computers, mobile devices, most of us take the use of technology for granted. Being an Information Systems professional is about building the bridge between people, business and technology.

If you are creative, tech savvy, have a global outlook, enjoy working with people and are excited by the limitless opportunities of the digital world, you must consider adding Information Systems to your career options.
