'I did my first two years of law at the Warrnambool Campus which provided a very relaxed and easy-to-understand environment. I have now transferred to the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus and find that the flexibility offered through the trimester system, by doing summer units, has eased my workload during the year.
I've really enjoyed the lecturers' wonderful knowledge of the units they are teaching and their ability to help us to understand them. There is a wide range of units offered and the lecturers make sure we have knowledge in many areas of law before graduating.
I have a keen interest in criminal defence - especially medical negligence cases and in the future I'd like to be a barrister which hopefully will lead me down the path to becoming a judge.'
Timothy is currently involved with the Deakin Law Students' Society in Geelong, and aims to graduate in 2012.
