Assessment

Assignment Submission

Details regarding assessment tasks will be provided online in DSO-Deakin Studies Online .

All assignments are to be submitted online in DSO in the assignment submission area by 11:59pm AEST on the due date. Submission of a printed copy via the Division of Student Administration Assignment Tracking or the Faculty Office may also be required for some tasks. Any such requirements will be provided with the assessment details available online in DSO. DSO provides instructions explaining how to check if your assignment has been successfully submitted.

Late submission

As a general rule late submission of assignments is not allowed in any units.

To avoid any late submission penalties, you must submit your assignment on or before the due date and due time. If your assignment is submitted late on DSO a 'late' message will appear.

You will be advised of the penalties for late submission of assignments by the lecturer for each of your units. You should check your unit guide carefully because in many units assignments submitted late without an extension being granted will not be marked.

Off-campus studentsstudy

Off-campus students who need to submit a printed copy of assignments must mail assignments with their bar-coded assignment attachments (downloaded from StudentConnect) to:

Assignment return

Normally assignments are returned within three weeks of the date received at the University; this information will be provided in your unit guide.

Marked assignments may be returned via DSO, Assignment Tracking or collected from your lecture or tutor.
