
You should first check the list of exam centres to find the one nearest to you.
Take note of the exam centre code and then contact DSA to advise the change. You may also submit the Enrolment Variation form included in your pre-semester mail-out to advise the change.
Changes made prior to four weeks before the commencement of the applicable scheduled examination period will not incur a charge.
Changes made between two and four weeks before the commencement of the applicable exam period will incur a charge as follows:
Students with an on-campus unit changing to another Deakin campus location - $50 per unit.
Students with an off-campus unit changing to another location - $150 per unit.
Students with an on-campus unit changing to an off-campus location within Australia - $50 per unit.
Students with an on-campus unit changing to an off-campus location outside Australia - $200 per unit.
No change of examination location is possible within two weeks of the commencement of the examination period
Off-campus students and students taking off-campus units will be notified by mail of their examination commitment. These letters are dispatched five to six weeks before the examination period. If you do not receive this letter please contact the Assessments Group in DSA on (03) 5227 3220.
If you missed your examination for reasons that were genuinely beyond your control, then you must lodge an application for special consideration, accompanied by appropriate documentary evidence, to your Faculty Campus Office no later than three days after the date of the examination. Application forms are available from each Faculty Campus Office.
Ensure that you read your timetable correctly, as misreading the timetable is not grounds for special consideration. Temporary minor illnesses such as colds, sore throat, headaches are also unlikely to be accepted as grounds for not sitting an examination.
