Unit withdrawalstudent

You can withdraw from a unit at any time, but beware of potential academic and financial penalties. There are three important dates to be aware of.

  • Withdrawing by the first date will mean there is no entry on your academic record in relation to that unit;
  • withdrawing by the second date will mean a WL (withdrawn late) will be recorded;
  • while withdrawing by the third date will mean a WN (withdrawn fail) will be recorded.

You will find these dates for each trimester in the Important dates section of the University Handbook.

For any change you will need to vary your enrolment online via StudentConnect.

Dates

Any variation to your enrolment may affect your HECS-HELP or fee obligations. You should be aware of the census date by which you must withdraw from units to avoid HECS-HELP or fee liability.
