Re-enrolment

The re-enrolment period for the Faculty of Business and Law is during September-October of each year. Exact dates are released in May.

All students must re-enrol to study in the following academic year.

  • You must re-enrol online via StudentConnect by the deadline for your course.
  • Your re-enrolment should include all units you intend to study in Trimesters 1, 2 or 3.
  • Speak to a Student Adviser when planning your enrolment. You can make an appointment at the Faculty campus office, by phone or email your enquiry.
  • Consult the online handbook to help plan your re-enrolment.
  • Check your course completion details on StudentConnect to ensure that you are following the course rules and enrolling in the correct units to enable you to meet all your course requirements.

Intermission - taking a break from studies

It is possible to take a break from your study program. This is called intermission and is normally granted for a maximum of 12 months. If you wish to intermit, please contact a Student Adviser for assistance.

Students who have approved intermission ending in Trimester 1 should still re-enrol for Trimester 2 and 3 by the deadline.

Failure to re-enrol

If you do not re-enrol by the deadline, you may incur a $200 late re-enrolment fee or your enrolment may be discontinued. If you lose your place you will need to apply for re-admission.

Course Transfer

If you are applying to transfer to another course within Deakin University you should still re-enrol in your current course. More on course transfer.
