Award for Excellence
Monika Pedzinzki completed marketing and public relations majors in her Commerce degree and took on a Business Internship with Peck & Stokes Motors in Geelong whose stable includes BMW, Jaguar and other luxury brands.
Monika's challenge during her internship was to coordinate Peck & Stokes' application for the Geelong Business Excellence Awards.
In reflecting on her experience Monika observed, 'The internship provided me with the confidence to discuss business practices and processes in a mature and in-depth manner. Whilst at Peck & Stokes I grew to appreciate the commitment behind creating a successful business and the qualities required to maintain it.'
Bruce Stokes, dealer principal, was full of praise for the skills and determination Monika brought to the organization, 'Monika was an important member of the team that helped us achieve success in the awards. It was rewarding for us to give a student an opportunity to apply their studies in a real business setting.'
In recognition of her excellent work during the internship Monika received the McHenry & Partners Award for the Most Outstanding Business Internship Student Contribution.
