  1. How do I use the map?

Deakin University's interactive Campus map comprises a standard base map and series of map overlays and associated information. Overlay features can be 'switched on' by selecting the corresponding check box. Graphical information associated with that overlay feature will be displayed on the map as well as associated textual information in the information pane.

  2. How do I find a building?

Buildings on campus are all labeled in lower case, alpha-numeric characters. The drop-down menu 'Locate Buildings' lists all the buildings on the Campus in alphabetical order and allows you to select one or more buildings, graphically highlights these on the large map, and displays textual information in the information pane.

  3. How do I navigate in the map?

You are able to zoom and pan across the Campus map via the map control pane. Action buttons here allow you to zoom in an out (+ -). Moving the shaded area on the mini-map with your mouse will then allow you to pan across the larger map and seek the location of the selected building or overlay feature. The map and overlays can be reset to its original size by clicking the 'reset map' button. The original base map can be reset without any overlay or buildings selected by clicking the 'reset all' button.
