Geelong Waterfront Campus accommodation

 On-campus accommodation
On-campus residential accommodation is not available at the Geelong Waterfront Campus but the on-campus accommodation at the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus is open to students taking courses at the Waterfront.

Student residences at the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus can accommodate 446 students at Barton College, Deakin College and Watson House. Features of the student residences include:

  • single bedrooms
  • shared bathroom facilities
  • shared kitchen-dining area
  • fully furnished rooms
  • carpet and heating
  • kitchen equipment and utensils supplied
  • laundry facilities provided.
Please note that there is always more demand than there are places for on-campus student accommodation. This means you should apply for accommodation as early as possible. For on-campus student residences it is a good idea to apply well before you have received an offer of a place in a course.

The deadline for applications is early January each year although mid-year entry is possible. For more information and application forms please visit the Student Residences web site.

Off-campus accommodation
The Deakin University Student Association (DUSA) operates an off-campus housing service that can help you to find private accommodation. Demand is high and you are advised to contact the Student Support Officer well before the academic year commences. The options available include home-stay, share-housing and vacant properties ranging from bungalows to four-bedroom houses. The Deakin University Student Association (DUSA) also operates a number of off-campus rooming houses for financially disadvantaged or homeless students.

Please visit the DUSA web site for further information.

Deakin University acknowledges the traditional land owners of present campus sites.
