How to apply for a job at Deakin

Submitting your application online

  1. From Careers at Deakin select the category and then vacancy you wish to apply for from the Position Title column
  2. Click the "Position Description" button to review or download the position information

        Please note that the position descriptions are in PDF and require Adobe Acrobat Reader available from the
        Adobe site to open. Adobe Acrobat 7.0 software has an embedded voice synthesizer or "screen reader"
       which can read aloud the text in nearly all PDF files
  3. Select "Apply Now"
  4. Complete the online application form
  5. An asterisk (*) indicates that a question is mandatory and you will be unable to submit your application until all the
    mandatory questions have been completed
  6. Click the browse button to attach the following documents (please attach as a single file, Word or PDF format only)
    with your online application:
    • Covering Letter
    • Statement addressing the key selection criteria
    • Resume/curriculum vitae
    • Details of successful grant applications (academic positions only)
    • Other relevant documents (where required)
  7. Select "Submit application to Deakin" to submit your application
  8. A message will appear on screen acknowledging your application and includes information regarding the next stage of the process
  9. Please note: You are unable to access your application online after it has been submitted. If you wish to change or withdraw your application you should contact Human Resources on (03) 924 68139.

If the online application facility is unavailable you can email your application and other relevant documentation to
recruitment@deakin.edu.au . Please ensure you include the Personal Details (68KB) form.
