Biography

Biography

Dr Louise Mathews-Freeman has extensive experience in the field of health and physical education, health promotion, and the implementation and evaluation of large-scale obesity prevention projects in early childhood, primary and secondary schools conducted across the Barwon-South Western region of Victoria [2005-2010]. In terms of research Louise has gained considerable experience in project management, coordination of data collection and in the analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data for reports to the Department of Health (Victoria & Commonwealth) and National Health and Medical Research Council and has published a number of Implementation reports and publications related to the above-mentioned obesity prevention projects. She has also completed a PhD (2011), been involved in grants, three book reviews, one book chapter (in press), 1 lead paper and 3 co-authored peer reviewed papers published (2007 – 2012) and 15 [HREC: A6] technical project reports (2009) with the WHO Collaborating Centre for Obesity Prevention.
