How to change your preferences

Current Year 12 student

You are considered to be a Current Year 12 student if you are studying VCE (or Adult VCE), Senior Level VCAL, an interstate Year 12 (excluding Western Australia) or International Baccalaureate (IB) in Australia.

You will be able to add, remove or re-order your preferences on the VTAC website by logging into MyInfo.

  • VCE and interstate Year 12 students
    While you can change your preference from Monday 28 November (9 am) to Monday 21 December (12 noon), you may decide to wait until after 16 December when you get your ATAR to revisit your preference list.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB)
    If you are completing the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, you will receive your Notional ATAR on 5 January 2012 (2 pm). As an IB student, you have until 6 January 2012 (5 pm) to change your preferences.
  • Western Australian and Tasmanian Year 12 students and NZ applicants
    If you are currently studying Year 12 in Western Australian, Tasmania or are a NZ applicant you are able to change your preferences until 6 January 2012, closing at 5 pm. Applicants from other states apply as normal Year 12 students.

Non-school leavers

You are deemed to be a non-school leaver if you are not currently enrolled in any Australian Year 12 or International Baccalaureate studies in Australia. This may mean you are currently having a gap year, studying at another university, TAFE institution or Independent Tertiary College, in the workforce or are not currently employed but are looking to improve your skills and knowledge.

You have until 9 December 2011 (5 pm) to submit your initial application. You can change your preference from Monday 28 November (9 am) to Monday 21 December (12 noon) on the VTAC website.

By clicking on MyInfo you can add, remove or re-order course preferences on your application.

 

International student

If you are an international student currently completing your VCE in Australia, you can apply through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) to study a Deakin University undergraduate course.

International students who have not completed VCE in Australia and who wish to study at Deakin University can apply directly to Deakin International. For more information visit the Deakin International website.

I knew I wanted to study something in nutrition. However, I didn’t want to be tied down to only nutrition so studying a Bachelor of Health Sciences really appealed to me.
