Masters Qualifying Program Extended

COURSE (INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS)

Overview

Deakin University's Masters Qualifying Program Extended (MQPE) operates in conjunction with the existing Masters Qualifying Program (MQP) course.

The MQPE is a non-award program designed to supplement the MQP and provide a pathway to Deakin University's postgraduate courses in Business and Law.

Combining English language training and academic studies, the MQPE is designed for students whose academic qualifications and/or English proficiency levels are marginally below the entry requirements for postgraduate programs at Deakin University.

The emphasis is on developing the skills necessary for success at postgraduate level. Students who complete the particular pathways within the MQPE will meet the academic and English language requirements for entry into specified coursework postgraduate programs at Deakin University.

The MQPE is taught by the Deakin College and Deakin University's English Language Institute (DUELI). Both institutions are co-located in a purpose built building on Deakin University's Burwood (Melbourne) with state-of-the-art classroom facilities.

Fee information

The tuition fees you pay are calculated depending on the course you choose.

The ‘Estimated tuition fee’ is provided as a guide only based on a typical enrolment of students completing the first year of this course. The cost will vary depending on the units you choose, your study load, the length of your course and any approved Credit for Prior Learning you have.

Each unit you enrol in has a credit point value. The ‘Estimated tuition fee’ is calculated by adding together 8 credit points of a typical combination of units for that course. Eight credit points is used as it represents a typical full-time enrolment load for a year.

You can find the credit point value of each unit under the Unit Description by searching for the unit in the Handbook.
