If you are a first or second-year Bachelor of Medical Imaging student in 2019, the Murray Medical Imaging Scholarship could be for you.

Eligibility criteria

Prospective candidates should ensure they meet all criteria before submitting their application.

To be eligible you must be:

  • an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, New Zealand citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa
  • enrolled full time in either the first or second year of your Bachelor of Medical Imaging degree in T1 2019
  • undertaking a clinical placement in a rural or remote location
  • able to demonstrate personal or financial* disadvantage
  • Preference will be given to students who can demonstrate an interest in working in a regional/rural community upon completion of their studies.

*For financial disadvantage you must receive a means-tested Centrelink benefit or have a personal or combined family taxable income below $56,000, depending on independence status.

Conditions

As a scholarship recipient you must:

  • complete a report at the end of the year detailing how this scholarship has helped you with your studies
  • commit to attending the Medical Imaging Partner Event to meet the donor.

More about the donor

Australian owned and operated, Murray Medical Imaging was established in 1999 to provide radiography services to hospitals in the North East of Victoria. The business has since expanded to provide locum, permanent and casual radiographers to regional Victoria.

The Murray Medical Imaging Scholarship was established to relieve financial burden and assist a both first and second year medical imaging students undertaking a clinical placement in either a regional or rural setting.
