Undergraduate

Undergraduate (your first degree)

An undergraduate degree is generally completed between two to four years, depending on the pattern of study and any recognition of prior learning you may have. Associate degrees, bachelor and bachelor with honours are all undergraduate degrees.

Postgraduate

Postgraduate (further study)

A postgraduate qualification can be undertaken by students who have already completed an undergraduate degree or possess significant, demonstrable work experience. Postgraduate courses include graduate certificates, graduate diplomas, master’s and PhDs, as well as specialist programs for industry professionals.

Research

Higher Degrees by Research (supervised research)

Research degrees are research based master’s or PhD programs that focus on a single area of expertise. They provide students the opportunity to carry out highly specialised research under expert supervision.

Flexible course options

The unique intersection of technical and artistic skills within this discipline gives you the opportunity to extend your design skills into the application of technological products that address creative and social issues. Explore technological entrepreneurship and innovation and specialise in an area that interests you most with flexible core units within courses.

Throughout my course I had a world of opportunity. I was chosen to work on the branding for Kardinia Park stadium, won the 2016 Graduate Exhibition, and got a job working in web/UX design and marketing.

Design Institute of Australia (DIA)

Our digital technologies course is formally recognised by the DIA, so you can be assured it meets the appropriate industry standards. It also means you can obtain membership of the DIA, giving you access to some of the biggest design events and experts in the nation.
