PhD scholarship - Data to Decisions CRC – Scholarship in law for Big Data analytics
Established with a grant of $25 million in July 2014, the Data to Decisions CRC (D2D CRC) is part of the Cooperative Research Centre's Law and Policy Research Program.
With funding from the Australian Government, researchers and industry are brought together to be a leading provider of Big Data capability.
This results in a safer and more secure nation and a sustainable Big Data workforce for Australia.
The D2D CRC's Law and Policy Research Program enables students to undertake law and socio-legal PhD studies relating to big data in the context of Australian national security. Big data compels society to reconsider existing legal and policy principles to develop a framework that will guide appropriate applications.
D2D CRC law and policy researchers will work closely with data scientists, industry partners and the Australian Government. They will study national security needs and international developments in order to identify appropriate solutions for Australia.
