NAB is committed to growing the future talent in financial planning. Our aim is to support and strengthen the pool of talent in financial planning by encouraging greater diversity and broader participation in financial planning studies.

The NAB Financial Planning Scholarship will be awarded to students with the ambition to pursue a career in financial planning. If you are in your second or third year of a bachelor degree majoring in financial planning and have the drive to change the financial planning landscape in Australia, this scholarship can provide you with financial assistance towards your studies and accelerate your career in financial planning.

Eligibility

All Deakin University scholarships have eligibility criteria.

To be eligible you must:

  • be an Australian citizen or holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa 
  • be a current student enrolled in a Bachelor degree at Deakin, majoring in Financial Planning in Trimester 1 2017 
  • be enrolled full-time or part-time on campus or in the Cloud
  • be in the second or third year of your degree in the year of the scholarship application
  • have a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 65 in the year prior to the scholarship.

As part of your application, you will be required to provide a statement of how the scholarship will assist your studies and career goals. 

You will also be asked what it is about a career in Financial Planning that appeals to you.

Special Conditions

Successful recipients will be required to write a yearly statement. This should highlight the impact receiving this support has had on them personally and on their studies during the year.
