PhD top-up scholarship opportunity: Evaluating the effects of NAB AFL AusKick participation on children with disabilities

The Deakin Child Study Centre is seeking a high-calibre PhD candidate with an interest in the research-industry interface to undertake research within the ALLPlay project. ALLPlay is a partnership between the Australian Football League (AFL), Moose Toys and Deakin University, alongside Victorian and national university collaborations.

Project aim

The project aims to facilitate inclusiveness and participation for children with disabilities in the NAB AFL AusKick program, through the development and evaluation of community-informed resources. Over 250,000 primary school-aged children of all abilities participate in NAB AFL AusKick annually in Australia.

Eligibility criteria

We are seeking applicants with an H1 honours degree (or equivalent), who are planning on submitting an application for an APA scholarship for commencement in early to mid-2017.

Candidates with backgrounds in psychology and child development are encouraged to apply. 

All applicants must meet Deakin's PhD entry requirements and be enrolling full time.
