The Sue Nattrass Scholarship Supported by the Myer Foundation (Graduate Diploma)

The Myer Foundation would like to recognize and honour Sue Nattrass AO for her distinguished career in the arts sector across Australia.

The Foundation has decided to do this by supporting the Sue Nattrass Scholarship Fund for students enrolling in the Arts and Cultural Management.

Value and duration


Initial payment of $500 to assist with study expenses (payment made after census date) in Trimester of award.  In addition, a cash payment of up to $14,400 over multiple years, divided into payments of $1,800 per credit point paid on successful completion of each credit point.


Up to 8 credit points.

All Deakin University scholarships have eligibility criteria. 

To be eligible you must be:

  • A domestic student, studying part time or full time
  • A commencing or continuing postgraduate student enrolled in the Arts and Cultural Management Course at Deakin University (Course code M665)
  • Preference will be given to individuals:
  • working in the arts sector in small-to-medium sized organisations
  • wanting to transition their careers into the arts sector and/or
  • living in remote areas

Special condition

Scholarship recipients will be required to complete a yearly report detailing how this scholarship has helped you with your studies.

With a career in the arts spanning over 40 years, Sue is considered one of Australia’s most experienced and high profile arts managers. Exemplary of Sue’s commitment to the arts community, she brings her experience and leadership philosophy to Deakin in her capacity as Adjunct Professor, Arts and Cultural Management, as well as in her former role as the chair of the Advisory Board.
