Campus: 1 x 1 hour class per week, 2 hours practical and project work per week.
Cloud (online): Online independent and collaborative learning activities including 1 x 1 hour class per week (recordings provided), Cloud (online) students can attend weekly blackboard sessions for tutorial and project work.
This unit covers electrical power system modelling, symmetrical components, load flow analysis using various types of load flow methods, balanced and unbalanced fault calculations, power system stability and control.
Assignment 1 (individual) - problem solving task 30%, assignment 2 (individual) - project report 30%, examination 40%. To be eligible to obtain a pass in this unit, students must achieve an overall mark of at least 40% in the examination.
