Course overview
The mass adoption of social media, the advances of new technologies, and the accumulation of large amounts of data has made information central to many aspects of work and life. The Master of Information Systems has been developed in response to this new emerging information-focused economy, where organisations are keen to hire specialists who understand the strategic use of information in the business context. In addition to learning about broad business-oriented principles and practices of information systems, the course also allows students to specialise in Business Analytics, Social Media and Mobile Strategies, or Supply Chain Management.
The course is aimed at graduates from all disciplines seeking to build a career as an information systems professional, particularly in the IT services and consulting industry, in IT solutions, and IT support. The course incorporates extremely flexible methods of delivery combining the use of high quality Cloud (online) study and face-to face campus mode learning and has a high level of industry engagement.
