Content

Being able to manage people is a crucial competence of any MBA graduate. This unit provides the critical theoretical underpinnings to this ability to manage people. It focuses on the nature of people, the determinants of their individual behaviour, human drive and motivation, the role of perception in management, group dynamics, and the paradox of management that whilst every person needs to be treated as an individual, managers should act equitably across the organisation.

The unit is taught using cutting-edge experiential techniques at a residential school with all the teaching based around activities in which students explore the practicalities and realities of managing people at work.
