They are divided into weekly topics each of which incorporate relevant contextual information, links to specific readings and other online unit content, activities designed to facilitate critical engagement with the unit content, and which encourage students to apply their developing understanding of cultural heritage to professional contexts. Online discussion forums are available, and students are encouraged to actively engage with discussion threads, to interact with fellow students and to evaluate and reflect on unit content.

Students enrolled in campus mode have access to the full suite of online resources and discussion areas on the unit site. They can fully participate in the online learning environment.

Additionally, they also have an opportunity to attend the campus-based program. Unit Chairs create a stimulating and appropriate suite of activities that includes professionals and specialist site visits. It is expected that students enrolled in this mode will attend this program.
