Content
What makes some news stories inherently global? How does news circulate across national borders? What does a foreign correspondent do? In this unit you will learn about global news flows and how the world's big issues are covered by international news organisations. You will examine global news ecologies and the impact social, political, economic, and technological factors have on the reporting and distribution of international news. You will explore themes in international news coverage such as health, environment, and conflict. Your study in this unit will equip you to be a globally savvy news consumer and analyst with a rich understanding of how transnational news narratives play out.
