  • Peak industry bodies and their activities

  • NGOs and their activities - the 'third sector'

  • Think tanks and their activities

  • Political communication

  • The role of media in opinion formation

  • Trends in public participation in policy formation

  • Trends is public concerns over risk, the environment, and political literacy

  • The ethics of influencing public opinion

  • Comparing Australian public opinion processes globally.
