This unit builds on the first two leadership units, ELT711 and ELT712, and is designed to complement ELT713 Ethnographies of Leadership. As such, the readings for this unit are fewer and the activities aim to scaffold you through the assessment tasks, which become the culmination of the work that you have completed in all four units on the Leadership of Teaching.
In this unit you will draw links between the theories introduced in earlier units, the case study you will conduct in ELT713, and the activities you have already completed in ELT711 and ELT712 which investigated your leadership skills and potential. You will make connections between theory, professional practice and your personal trajectory as an aspiring teacher leader.
Task 1: 50% Development of a concept map, with a 750 word commentary, that makes connections between leadership theories, the ethnographic research you conduct in ELT713, your analysis of your leadership skills and your projected trajectory as an aspiring education leader..
Task 2: 50% Portfolio presentation of skill analysis and planning with regards to personal aims in the area of leading teachers (Format to be negotiated).
