Content
This unit develops an understanding of the anatomy, physiology and pathology of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) and its complications. It enables the student to understand the relationship between this pathophysiology and methods of treatment of DM. On completion of the unit, students will be aware of the epidemiology and its complications and their impact in macroeconomic and social terms. Students will understand the concept and practice of health maintenance in the context of DM.Assessment
