Content
This unit explores contemporary neurobiological explanations of human behaviour. Individual, social, ethical and practical implications are examined in the context of topics including: neural structure and function, psychopharmacology, biological methods, sensory systems, emotions, motor activity, sleep, mental disorders, language, memory and learning.
Assessment
Examination (2 hours) 60%, neuroanatomy assignment 30%, team presentations 10%
Fortnightly team presentation will take place online (via ELive). Off campus students will require access to a computer-compatible microphone. Students unable to participate in practicals may be eligible to receive an alternative assessment in which they submit a recording of their presentations.
