Students are expected to attend regular meetings with their academic supervisor, either in person or online.

Content

During this unit, each student will select a research topic in consultation with a member of staff who will act as their primary supervisor. The project may be co-supervised by an external academic or practitioner. Each student will complete and submit a 4000 word systematic search review of the literature relevant to the topic. To assist topic selection, students will be provided with a list of staff research areas.

On completion of the four research thesis units, students should be able to:

  • Conduct empirical research to contribute to advancing knowledge in a particular field of organisational psychology;
  • Extend theoretical understanding of an area of organisational psychology;
  • Write up an empirical investigation that addresses the above areas.

Literature review contributes 35% to overall mark for thesis units, calculated after all four thesis components are assessed.
