Content

This unit advances students' skills in working with clients across psychology and mental health settings. Students will learn skills in counselling and client-centred and ethical practice, and will learn knowledge and skills related to working with a variety of clients of different ages, cultural backgrounds, and presenting problems.

Hurdle requirement

  • Satisfactory completion of activities focused on micro counselling and case management skill development, including participation in role play activities, in at least 7 of the 9 three hour weekly seminars, to obtain a pass or above in the unit.
