Content

A solid foundation in research literacy is essential to evidence-based practice in the health and caring fields.

This unit will provide you with the skills to make evidence-based decisions, including the ability to find and synthesise research literature, critically appraise research evidence and apply research evidence to practice in an ethical and culturally sensitive manner.

Topics covered in this unit include: quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods and inclusive research; finding and synthesising research literature; critically appraising research evidence; human research ethics principles; cultural awareness and sensitivity.
